Looking for a role in New Product Development? This prepared fresh produce company are looking for an NPD Technologist to join their busy team in East London. You’ll assist the NPD and Sales teams in all aspects of the food development and launch process

Your role…

Co-ordinate and support food development sampling, preparation and submission for new and existing customers

Sourcing and ordering new ingredients and packaging in accordance with Technical and Procurement protocols

Contribute to the foodie culture, aware of food trends and identifying opportunities linked with groupwide business activities

Creation of new and existing product costing demonstrating commercial acumen

Assist with production trials ensuring a suitable match to kitchen I development samples

Diligent completion of customer new food submission documents

Maintenance and development of strong internal colleague and external customer / supplier relationships.

Assisting in new raw materials / packaging sourcing

Working Hours:

Qualifications and experience

Educated to a degree level (Ideally in food science, food   technology or food science and nutrition).

Food Safety qualifications including HACCP.        

Experience in a FMCG setting.

Attention to detail and excellent organisational

Knowledge of manufacturing / catering / NPD processes and procedures.               

Knowledge, Competencies, abilities, and skills:

A basic understanding of the stage gate process.

Computer literate with a good understanding of Excel.

Must be willing to travel to both East London and South West London

Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
