Job Description

Working as the Technical Assistant for this fresh produce company you will ensure that all products manufactured on site are safe, meet customer requirements and comply with food safety standards & current legislation. This will include conducting effective departmental audits to help drive continuous improvements. You will be working alongside the Technical Manager, supporting the development of this rapidly expanding business.

 Your role…

Monitoring ongoing compliance with food safety, legislation, quality & customer requirements and industry regulatory requirements.

Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and procedures.

Monitor and promote GMP, Hygiene, Quality Standards and adherence to all Quality Management & Food Safety related procedures.

Conduct and document internal audits (GMP, Hygiene, Glass & Plastic).

Develop, recommend and monitor corrective & preventative actions.

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances issued.

Conduct verification checks on site’s Critical Control Points and help in day-to-day maintenance of HACCP.

Provide technical support and advice to production team.

Routine QA/Technical tasks.

Working Hours:

Sunday to Friday (5 out of 6 days) Earlies and lates as below

Core Hours: Week 1 - 6am-2:30pm

Week 2 - 2pm-10:30pm

 Experience and Qualifications

 

Ideally qualified to degree level in Food Science / Technology

Must have Food Safety Level 2   & HACCP Level 2 

 

At least 3 years experience of working in Food Manufacturing
