An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available for a Production Scientist to join one of the world leaders in antibody production in

Magenta are  looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking person with a “can-do” attitude. The ideal candidate will have a biochemistry based background with proven experience in the manufacture and handling of proteins including purity assessment techniques in a manufacturing setting.


  • Manufacturing and QC testing of finished product following a defined schedule and standard manufacturing procedures to ISO9001 standard
  • Troubleshooting or improvement of manufacturing protocols together with writing reports and data analysis presentation
  • Maintaining and preparing accurate records, reports and documentation
  • Recommending and facilitating in-depth changes to interdepartmental written procedures
  • Performing preventative maintenance on departmental equipment
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of finished products and reagents


  • 2 years post-graduation experience in an industrial or academic lab
  • Working knowledge and experience in protein handling including SDS-PAGE analysis
  • Experience in Antibody handling and manipulation including conjugation to dyes and enzymes
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Minimum BSc in a Biological Sciences related subject
