Job Description

We’re really excited to be working with a properly forward thinking company who are changing the pet food industry.

 

Overseeing the Production and Supply Chain, you’ll have fully responsibility for the manufacturing process and working closely with the board and senior management, you’ll be shaping the production strategy using your knowledge of the company’s objectives and your own market knowledge.

An increase in productivity and the ability to inspire are essential to the role as this’ll help the ultimate goal – in increase market share.  To accomplish this, you’ll need to ensure that your team are all trained to the highest standards and the state of the art facility follows all regulatory and safety procedures.  You’ll also need a creative streak and be up to speed with the latest, and most efficient techniques for food processing while conforming to best practice.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Controlling the production schedule
  • Managing the human and materials to meet targets
  • Supply chain management (which will include offshore sourcing)
  • Purchasing and inventory management
  • The Quality Control process
  • The Health and Safety of the facility
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Managing equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
  • Develop and manage the production budget and manage new products into the business
  • Process improvement

Sound like your next role?

You’ll need a technical degree in either Engineering or an Industrial Food Technology and a thorough understanding of the principles and practices and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.

You’ll also need to be experienced in HACCP principles and managing regulated processes and production, particularly in the food sector.

As the lynchpin of the operation, you’ll also need a clear understanding of human resources and have experience in implementing quality systems and standards.
