Exciting Role for an Electrically Biased Engineer in Food Manufacturing

A leading food manufacturing company near Dudley, Birmingham, is seeking a skilled engineer to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime. Working on rotational shifts 5:00am – 2:00pm, 13:00pm – 22:00pm and 19:00 – 8:00am.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on fast-moving machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Conduct panel electrical work with precision and expertise.
- Maintain and service steam boilers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

Skills and Experience Required:

Electrical Bias: A strong electrical background is essential, with a preference for candidates who are 70/30 or 60/40 electrically biased.
Mechanical Aptitude: While electrical skills are paramount, a solid understanding of mechanical maintenance is also required.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable, particularly with fast-moving machinery.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with OMAG, Spice Capper, and Italian-manufactured machines will be advantageous.
Steam Boiler Maintenance: Proven experience in maintaining and servicing steam boilers is essential.
