Marketing Communications Specialist

1 year fixed term contract



The role of Marketing Communications Specialist will be ideal for a quick learner with a Life Science qualification, ideally PhD, and excellent writing skills, who would like to gain experience in all aspects of marketing in a dynamic team. Tasks will include: proofreading and editing as required, technical writing, collating and analysing marketing campaign results, liaison with media agencies and other third party suppliers, and making simple edits in Adobe InDesign.


• Proofreading/ editing scientific content including emails, applications notes, protocols, and brochures
• Technical writing
• Gathering and analysing campaign results such as email stats, website traffic, and third party performance
• Update Campaign Central (Google site) weekly – with campaign info & results
• Assist the Campaign Manager with the creation of Powerpoint slides for regional catch ups and campaign results meetings, and communication to the sales team
• Communication with design agencies, printers, and third-party suppliers/advertisers
• Willingness to help with marketing related tasks as required
• Make simple edits to existing marketing materials in InDesign


  • Life Science Degree required and PhD preferred.
  • Technical writing and excellent writing skills in general
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience writing scientific content preferred.
