IT Support Tech Manager

Job Description

Our client offers a managed outsourced I.T. department to local small and medium size businesses.  They are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced IT support tech manager with the drive to take on projects and deal with escalated service tickets. The successful candidate will have considerable practical experience, will be able to work independently and part of a team, be people focused and be a creative problem solver. 
This role will suit an experienced Microsoft server technician that is looking to step-up to a tech manager position within a team or someone already in the position.

 

The Role:

  •    To work within a small team of technicians on a day-to-day basis, scheduling and ensuring a very high level of service for the client

  •     Manage and support corporate clients I.T hardware, software and network infrastructure

  • Help with onboarding new clients

•        Attend call outs to companies within the Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex area

•        Provide remote and telephone based support

•        Build rapport with new, existing and potential clients

•        Provide first class technical and server support to client accounts at all times

•        Ability to keep up to date with new technologies and training the team in these areas

  •    Monitor the departments performance and reporting through KPIs

  •    Escalation point for clients and technicians

   

 The Ideal Candidate:

•        Ideally 4 years plus experience within the I.T support industry

•        Previous experience in varied I.T and client environments

•        Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003 to date, Mac, and 365

•        Ability to work productively within a team

•        Being forward thinking and innovative

•        Ability to build working relationships with clients

•        Must be able to drive to attend to call outs – Company pool cars provided

•        Embrace responsibility of being a key holder
