Job Description

Magenta Recruitment are recruiting for a Fire Alarm Engineer based in the Midlands area.

 

Are you an experience Fire Alarm Engineer looking to join a fast-growing, family company to commission, service and maintain fire alarm systems across a variety of sites. This is a mobile role with regular travel, so a flexible and professional approach is essential.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Commission & service addressable and conventional systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance & remedial works
  • Fault-find and repair to standards
  • Complete job sheets, service reports & certification
  • Liaise with site managers, clients & colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with BS 5839-1:2025 and H&S
  • Provide onsite guidance to in-house installation teams

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the fire alarm industry
  • Strong knowledge: Gent, Kentec, Morley, Apollo, Advanced
  • Confident independent fault-finding
  • Full UK driving licence; Midlands travel (with occasional wider travel)
  • ECS/CSCS and Level 3 / FIA qualifications desirable
  • Excellent communication & client-facing skills
