Our client, a successful multi-disciplined Building Services Consultancy, is currently looking to add a Senior Electrical Project Manager to the team to work from either the London or Oxfordshire area.
Responsible for the management of project administration, design, commissioning and handover of projects in various sectors of the construction industry. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and coordination of engineering project services for M&E1 installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc. Takes a team management role.
Undertake site quality control inspections of mechanical1 and electrical building services installations, and issue inspection schedules and/or reports.
Liaise with client representatives and appropriate contractors with respect to inspections and completion of defects.
Review (approving / commenting upon) of 3rd party information including:
Mechanical and electrical design drawings, and equipment selections/schedules
Technical review of quotations
Method statements and risk assessments
Testing and commissioning documentation
Operations & Maintenance manuals
Building user guides and log books
- As built record information
Management of testing and commissioning process, including witness testing. This may also include the appointment of 3rd party specialist commissioning engineers to undertake commissioning validation.
Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical installations to determine scope of works etc.
Preparation of electrical design information, including liaison with 3rd party designers where appropriate, comprising calculations, drawings, specifications and schedules.
Assistance with the preparation of Log Books, Manuals and Building User Guides.
Performance, workmanship and installation monitoring of buildings.
Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Providing cost support to Quantity Surveyors.
Undertake Contract Administration duties and Project Management duties to include:
Chair meetings including preparation of agenda’s and meeting minutes
Report progress against construction programmes
Assessment and certification of valuations, and payment certification, including contract variations
Liaison with PQS where applicable
Preparation of client reports
- Complete project completion documents
Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client.
Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams.
Commissioning management including dilapidation surveys and testing.
Validation and checking of, tender and contractual documentation.
