Our client is a chilled food processor supplying to retail, food manufacturing and food service customers. They are currently looking to add to their Production Department.
As a Shift Manager the role predominantly involves managing the efficient and economic operation of the shift’s production in all low risk areas. You will ensure the processes; production and quality of the products meet the safest and highest specification that the company sets out.
Reporting directly to the Low Risk Department Manager and working closely with key disciplines including planning, NPD, Health and Safety, Human Resources and Technical departments, you will be expected to demonstrate sound management, communication and organisational skills to achieve the planned production levels.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience of leading, managing and developing staff in a challenging and fast paced customer focused working environment ensuring that all staff are working safely and efficiently within the agreed labour budgets.
Applicants must hold or be working towards a professional management qualification, food safety (Level 3 or equivalent), health & safety (IOSH) and working knowledge of HACCP systems.
