Vacancy: Contracts Engineer – Steel Structures

Our client is an established manufacturer of grain storage silos, handling equipment, water tanks and associated steelwork. The company supplies its services to a variety of industries in the UK and internationally and is now looking to strengthen its engineering contracts team based in the Herefordshire.
•To assist in operational delivery of all projects and contracts with a hands-on approach to the day-to-day activities.
•Development and implementation of project plans for contracts to effectively manage all activities with regard to pricing, operations, construction, staff, quality, health and safety and works scheduling.
•Act as a focal point for the clients, including input into tenders and designs, ensuring full client liaison and development,
•Working with the commercial team to ensure effective cash flow management and producing accurate progress / project reports on time
•Assist in site / project review meetings with staff in developing a proactive focus upon quality, overheads, manpower, programming, organisation and delivery aspects
•Assist in further developing the supply chain and sub-contractor partnering process, where necessary, to improve upon existing terms if possible
•To ensure a high level of teamwork and cohesion between all levels of site staff
•To attend regular meetings with staff to discuss progress as well as providing site reports
•Experience in a contracts / projects / site engineering role from within the steel buildings / structures.
•Must possess an excellent understanding of all stages of the contracting process, including design and estimating,
•Good levels of experience at pre and post contract stages
